Outgoing [November]

Not much to report outgoing wise apart from the fact that I amazed at how much that I have managed to send. Before I would have struggle to keep on top it. I think that is mainly due to the fact it's the letters have been great in content and quality. And also as I mentioned in 'Incoming' the 'getting to know you' phase is over and you there is more to go on.

Writing the first letter is hard, not just because you want to make a good first impression it's also that you have nothing to reply to. My new pen friends were all found via Instagram. An instagram feed does not tell you much about a person. Also it is very public and people do not share the same way they do in letters (at least I hope not). So actually these replies were much easier this time around and therefore I was able to get letter out more quickly.

Some letters have reached their destinations and some are still languishing at the bottom of my bag whispering 'post us Rehana, set us free'. If I had a 100¥ or preferably a £1 (they're worth more) for every post box I've passed whilst having a stamped and addressed envelope in my possession I could buy Royal Mail!! *sigh* postal problems!

Incoming [October]

Incoming this month was very sporadic and my outgoing was much higher than my incoming. Not that this matters but it was noticeable. But when I look back at the month I have received more that I thought and am very grateful for it.

I've stopped swapping postcard but did get a few this month in response to the surprise mail I sent out at the beginning of the month. I also received mail from home which is always good. There is a big difference getting mail not just from people you have met but people you actually know.

Outgoing [October]

Yet more mail for my new pen pals and some of my old ones course. I feel like I have taken on a lot of new pen pals recently. But the first time was July and then again in September, so a 3 month gap not bad really. No more for the rest of the year! More importantly I managed to get everything out to everyone in October! Woop! I really hate writing to someone for the first time, all that awkwardness is out of the way.

I am glad to have a bit of rest, I have nothing urgently to reply to. I haven't got a picture of all my outgoing mail, due to my bad memory and occasionally crappy camera skills. I'm just glad they all out and the majority of them have been received already.

Original post for my initial request.

Autumn Mail

I received this little mail surprise from Corey G. a fellow Instagrammer, who has a wonderful IG account and blog by the way. It was much appreciated and mail has been scarce so doubly so. I don't usually post about individual but had to do so for this. It's so simple and sweet you can see the amount of effort gone into it AND autumn is my favourite season.

Her other postal efforts are amazing and I feel fortunate to have received something from her. I had already had something I was working on for her, unfortunately it will not even compare to this.

Thanks Corey!
